At the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Board of Education meeting on July 13, 2021, Marc Angerer was named the principal at South Mecklenburg High. He has been the principal at Bruns Avenue Elementary since 2017. Angerer was a principal at Carmel Middle from 2008 to 2017. He was an assistant principal at Wilson Middle from 2007 to 2008 and at Carmel Middle from 2006 to 2007. He was a teacher at Carmel Middle from 2002 to 2006 and at Smithfield Elementary from 1998 to 2002.
Angerer earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio, and a master’s degree in educational leadership/curriculum specialist from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, S.C.
