Round 1 of the School Choice Lottery has closed. Round 1 results will be mailed home the week of January 11, 2021.
Round 2 will open on January 25, 2021.
How Round 2 works:
Lottery applications submitted during round 1 of the lottery will run again in round 2 if you did not get your #1 choice in round 1. The system will continue to try to get you your #1 choice.
You should only submit a new application if you are wanting to make a change to your choices. The following scenarios outline when it is necessary for a family to submit a lottery application in round 2:
- If your child was not future enrolled for the 2021-2022 year by the December 13th deadline and was not able to submit a round 1 lottery application, you should future enroll by January 15th in order to get a Student ID and PIN in time to complete a round 2 lottery application.
- If you missed the round 1 lottery deadline, you should submit a round 2 lottery application.
- If you want to change the choices on your lottery application, you should submit a new application during round 2.
- If you received your #2 or #3 choice in round 1 of the lottery and want to keep that choice, you should submit a new application during round 2 and select the school/program that you want to keep as your new #1 choice. This will keep the system from trying to put your child in a #1 selection that you no longer want.
