Students interested in transferring to a school option or magnet program for the 2020-2021 academic year must complete a “Request for Transfer or Reassignment” form.

Request for Reassignment Period for Round I & II Lottery: February 10, 2020 – February 24, 2020*
*Students brand new or re-enrolling to the district after this date will have ten business days after enrolling to submit a request for reassignment. Application does not guarantee approval.
Request for Transfer period in order to receive an answer by the start of school: February 25, 2020 – June 18, 2020**
**Students brand new, re-enrolling or current CMS students can apply to schools not listed on the Superintendent’s Closed School list. Application does not guarantee approval.
January 6, 2020 – June 5, 2020: The Office of Student Assignment & School Choice will continue to receive and enter enrollment packets for home school placement for the 2020-2021 school year. After June 5, 2020, enrollment information needs to be taken to the home school based on the residential address of the biological parent or legal guardian.
